Here’s all that you can get with your Vivint home system
Unlike rival smart home companies, Vivint’s home and security offerings are available to renters. Here are a few of the more asked about devices and services:
Burglary detection
Door alarms and glass sensors can alert you when an uninvited guest enters your rental unit. Receive a text to your phone when an sensor goes off, or manage your alarms and cameras remotely so you can let in guests or maintenance when you’re out.
Fire and safety detectors
Smoke detectors will come with your rental unit, but probably not other environmental sensors. Hang a wireless carbon monoxide alarm or flood alarm to notify you and Vivint’s monitoring agents to catastrophes before it’s too late.
Indoor or doorbell cameras
A security cameras may be wirelessly installed so you can watch over indoor rooms. A doorbell camera allows you view -- and talk to -- guests at the front door. Watch live HD feeds and alerts about suspicious movement through your mobile app.
Round-the-clock monitoring
One of the benefits of going with Vivint is the monitoring team backing up tripped alarms. When a component goes off, your monitoring team immediately contacts you to see if you’re in a safe location. Then they’ll turn around and call the emergency agency.
Smart home devices
Home automation components, like smart lights, can be installed to make your apartment more eco-friendly. Some devices like a replacement thermostat or smart door locks may require prior office approval.
The Vivint App
Your Lancaster security system can be adjusted anywhere is the world with the Vivint App. See live security feeds, remotely turn on and off devices, or set rules for alarms and lights. Then get alerts to your smartphone if a device goes off or a camera sees suspicious motion.
